About The Event

In this class you will learn the proper techniques and the science behind canning and preserving your own fruits and vegetables.  

We will all work together to can, dry, and freeze different fruits and vegetables straight from the garden.  All necessary equipment and supplies will be provided in class.  Class attendees will be able to take home three cans and/or bags of product being taught during class, as well as taste samples of each product- This is a hands-on class. You can expect to make three-four items during class, and take home many recipes.

Dill Pickles

Sweet Pickles

Pickled Relish

Pickled Sweet Green Tomatoes

Pickled Bread-and-Butter Zucchini

Freezer Tomato Sauce and Paste

Spicy Pepper Blends (seasonings)

Garlic and Herb Blends (seasonings)

Peach and Pineapple Spread

Jalepeno Jelly
